猛貴 · MOKI

猛 fierce. 貴 precious. Moki is our own reading of those two characters, not a traditional one.

The name is built from two real kanji: 猛 (fierce, vigorous, brave) and 貴 (noble, precious, valuable). Read separately, those meanings are real and sourced. Read together as 猛貴, no dictionary or naming registry attests this compound as an existing Japanese name, and its standard readings would be Takeki or Taketaka, not Moki. "Moki" is our own stylized reading, chosen for how it sounds, not a traditional or dictionary one. We're telling you that up front rather than letting you assume otherwise. If a truer reading exists, we would rather hear it than keep this one unchallenged.

If you've seen another "Moki" in crypto or NFTs: there is one, a tanuki character on Ronin, unrelated to this project. Ours is a real photographed cat, not an illustrated mascot, and that's on purpose.

LINEAGE

The standing cat is a lineage, not a gimmick.

Cats standing bolt upright are a recurring viral format with a documented history: Rocky in 2010, and Frank, a tuxedo cat who went viral in exactly this pose in 2022. MOKI stands in that line. The pose is real behavior from a real shoot, not a costume we arranged him into.

He has been dropped into a cockpit, a newsroom, a block world and a war. The scene changes every time. The subject never does: same photograph, same posture, same unblinking pale-blue read on the lens. That is the entire joke and the entire thesis.
